(from Moments for the Spiritually Aware Parent)
Spiritually Aware Parenting is a positive parenting approach, which sees our children and ourselves as the Pure Positive spiritual beings we all are and acting from a place of connection rather than reacting to what is being presented to us at any given moment. Parents can learn to deal from a place of wellbeing within themselves and pass that state of connection on to their children, rather than teaching them to go against their inner instincts and “do what they are told” first.
Spiritually Aware Parenting promotes that wellbeing is ever flowing, and that we are all on a spiritual journey, whether we are moments old or whether we are too old to remember.
From seeing our children as spirits, experiencing life from conception through to adulthood, growing in understanding and contrast, and using our own emotional guidance systems to deal with each upset, tantrum, off day and problem they may experience, we can develop a deeper understanding of what they are going through. With that understanding everyone can find better feeling options.
Christina Fletcher is an author and consultant on Spiritually Aware Parenting. Her first book, Who They Really Are: a Guide to Being a Spiritually Aware Parent, is a handbook for expectant and new parents on how to see their baby as the pure spirit they are and deal with practical issues from a spiritual perspective of contrast and connection. Since then she has released two books of inspiring passages for the busy parent Moments for the Spiritual Aware Parent, and Inspirations for the Spiritually Aware Parent. Books are available through this website, Amazon and other online retailers as well.
